Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I’m not confident in many things as a mother.

It’s hard to be when you love something so much.

I question myself at every decision.

Sometimes I get so much doubt that the tears well up in my eyes.

Sometimes I think I’m the worst mom for not knowing all the answers.

I spend far too much time being afraid. What if, when I'm not looking for a second, someone trips and falls down the stairs?

What if I trust my gut and my gut is entirely wrong?

And we will get it wrong.

Many times.

Because what we think is best may not be.

We're dealing with human beings, so of course, we will.

But in this messy process of getting most of it wrong, we're teaching them more than if we were to get everything right.

That it’s okay to make mistakes.

It's not something scary. It just is.

And they don’t have to be perfect to try anything in life.

So, I know I’m a good mom.

Because the truth is,

even on my worst and downright messiest

days, no one can love my kids as much as I do.

No one.
