Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, And I’M FEELING OFF.

The first time it took me by surprise.

But not the second time.

The dizzy. The thoughts. ALL. THE. THOUGHTS. The weight. The weight of my muscles. The load I carry on my bones. The what-ifs?!?! The probably is.

The deep breathing didn’t help.

The exercise didn’t leave it behind.

The prayers brought me closer to God but didn’t make it go away.

Anxiety.

The kind that took me to the Emergency Room more than once.

Anxiety.

The kind that needed a stronger prescription to treat.

Anxiety.

That daily reminder I must surrender control.

Anxiety.

It’s different from worry.

It’s the body’s physiological response to a perceived threat.

It can be triggered at unpredictable times.

And it requires help.

Friends, we don’t have to suffer in silence.

We don’t have to fight the battle alone.

If you or someone you love is struggling with a mental health disease that’s affecting your quality of life, start fighting back today by talking to your primary doctor or OBGYN.

Seek help. I did.

It makes all the difference.

Love, Jaclyn
