Hey. Can I tell you something?
If I know you're excited about something in your life, I'm gonna be excited for you.
If you're looking forward to something with bated breath, I'm gonna wait anxiously with you. And when you announce it's finally happened, I'm gonna jump up and down for you.
If you've been working hard toward something and need some encouragement, I'm gonna rally for you.
If you've checked off something from your bucket list, I'm gonna high five you and scream, "Congratulations!"
If you have a date circled on your calendar, I'm gonna think about you and say a prayer for you that day.
If something happens in your life to make it a little or a lot better, I'm gonna celebrate with you.
Even if I don't want the same thing, I'm gonna be happy for you.
Even if I have a different set of goals, I'm gonna cheer for you.
Even if (and especially if) we are in the same boat, but you're getting to the other side a little faster, I'm gonna smile and tell you what an inspiration you are.
Even if it has absolutely nothing to do with me, but it makes your day, I'm gonna throw a confetti emoji your way.
I'm gonna cheer for you.
Because that's what we should do.
Because giving others a few moments of feeling proud or excited or accomplished is good for both our souls.
Because I know the feeling of realizing someone in your corner actually isn't so much.
Because we all need to be lifted up, and encouraged, and motivated, and hugged, and congratulated, and celebrated.
So, I just wanted you to know.
I'm gonna cheer for you.
Love (and cheer for each other) more,
Dana
