we live in Coral Springs, FL, and my son attends kindergarten at Imagine a charter school of Broward. Although my son has a few amazing teachers, there is one that stands out. His main kindergarten teacher Mrs. Fagiani. On daily zoom, she makes it so much fun, from singing, doing jumping jacks counting by 2’s, 5’s etc..but..she’s gone above & beyond...she set an award point system that allowed kids to tell jokes on zoom, get a personal letter, or zoom lunch...I sat amazed & watched them laugh & have so much fun for that half hour of lunch..(on zoom!) it helps this “stay at home” time, just a little easier on their lives that change overnight!
However, I want to recognize this teacher because she misses them so much that she scheduled lawn book readings! It makes these kids confusing days a bit easier to be able to see her face, in person and know that they are not alone during this time!
Similarly, he has a Media teacher too Mrs. Rosen, her spirit amazes me! She holds weekly yoga classes & includes the parents! All because she just loves the kids.. My son draws her pictures and cards and loves her so much and he can only see her on zoom...but to ALL of the teachers at Imagine Charter, they are truly wonderful...the music teacher that lets them go crazy banging any instrument they can find, his PE teacher playing hop scotch and teaching juggling but every log on, helps brighten a day of solitude.
So I would love to acknowledge all of the teachers at imagine charter, but Mrs. Fagiani tops the list making it personal. By visiting each child get through a very confusing time with a little lawn book reading with her dog Pepe! These kids who had their lives change in an instant, we parents are forever grateful to these teachers that instantly brighten their day.
