Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

It starts before your baby is born.

When I found out I was pregnant I didn’t go in for a checkup until I was 8 weeks along. I spent those weeks researching what to do and not to do while expecting. During my first appointment I had a list of questions for my doctor. I left feeling like ‘pregnancy, I got this!’.

As soon as I started telling people I was expecting, the judging began. For me it was because I was overly careful.

“You can have that, I did and have a healthy baby”

“One time isn’t going to hurt you or the baby”

I never listened to the comments, but did start second guessing myself. It took a little while for me to regain my confidence, and stand up for me and my baby.

If the mom judging starts this early, I can only imagine what it will be like once the baby is here.
