Some costumes can be purchased at the store and some are a labor of love. Our family of Lego costumes was definitely a labor of love as I worked to carve the heads and then build and paint the bodies. I enjoy family costumes where every child can choose their costume within a theme. Each of our kids chose which Lego mini figure they wanted to represent and each seemed to fit their personality so well. My husband repeatedly told me, costumes are never worth the time I spend making them. But when we showed up at our neighborhood Halloween party and everyone wanted a picture with us - it was all worth it.
Find all the details of how I made the costume bodies and heads on our family blog here.
