Any parents that runs a small business knows that it can be hard to maintain the work/life balance that actually allows you to run your company to the best of its ability.

I have had conversations with my son about this almost regularly for the last two months, and we have come to the conclusion that I should start to network more with the other parents at my kids' school.

I thought this was an excellent idea, and it actually allows me to hit two birds with one stone. In other words, I can be there for my kids' extra curricular activities and still find time to build a network that allows me to succeed in the business world!

Just because we are parents does not mean we have to sacrifice our careers!
