Marriage is a dance.
If it's date night, I'll drop it like it's hot (sometimes more than once).
(INSERT SEXY WINK & THAT-WAS-BORDERLINE-INAPPROPRIATE EYEROLL HERE)
But, for real, marriage is a dance -- one that you and I are still learning how to do.
We dance around the fact that our living and bill-paying responsibilities keep us from one another.
We dance around any "real" issues ‘cause neither of us has time for that.
But, once in a blue moon, we will literally dance,
in the kitchen
or
the living room
or
wherever we can find space.
Sometimes in private,
and
sometimes in front of the kids.
We dance to remember the young lovebirds we once were.
We dance to forget the stress that is inherent to living an adult-life.
We may forget the steps.
We may each be dancing to a different beat.
But, I'll tell you this, big fella --
There isn't anyone else in this world I would rather dance with for the rest of my life.
And, that statement there, my friend, that is me NOT dancing around my point and making it very clear to you that you are my one and only -- for now and always.
