Let us remember the fallen.
Men and women.
Black and white.
Hispanic.
Asian.
Gay.
Religious.
Atheist.
Republican.
Democrat.
They did not fight for “some.”
They fought for all.
People from all walks of life gave their lives in service to their country.
Leaving behind the shattered hearts of their family and friends.
A wife suddenly a widow, now raising her children alone.
Mothers crying for sons and daughters that will never come home.
Children that will never feel their mother’s hug again.
A best friend who will forever miss their “go-to person” when life gets tough.
Let us honor and never forget.
