Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I'm not the prettiest.

I'm not the smartest either.

I can't cook very well.

I'm always losing your socks when I do the laundry.

I'm a rusher and a planner, and I'm not one for spontaneity.

I'm prone to anxiety and over-analyzing everything.

I'm jealous and I lack confidence.

And this is not me being self-deprecating.

It’s just me being honest.

So here's a little more honesty for you.

I'm not hideous.

I'm creative.

I'm really good at eating out at restaurants.

At least I do the laundry.

And, those plans of mine and that rushing, it means we have lots of on-time adventures.

My anxious tendencies, they just mean that I feel things deeply.

And, I overthink because I overcare, though I don't believe there is such a thing.

I get jealous because your a treat — my treat, and I don't want to share.

And, while I could own who I am just a bit more, I'm not full of myself and you should thank God for that.

Listen, I’m sure you could find better.

But, why would you want to?

That's right. You don't.

Because men like you appreciate women like me.

Men like you aren't wife-ing Perfect Patty.

Hell no.

You want,

desire,

pray for,

go after,

marry,

and make babies with

Imperfect Ida.

And, me?

Ida one you picked.

See what I did there?

I'm funny, too.

So, yeah, I'm not beauty and brains, and I'm not a 10, but I can

get our kids ready and the house in ten minutes or less,

eat ten overpriced, gluten-free cookies in one sitting,

break a one-paragraph worthy text into ten separate messages,

and will tell you the same damn thing at least ten times in a day to ensure the info sticks.

I'm the dream girl you never knew you always wanted, but have been utterly happy to land.

I'm also good at speaking for people, like I’ve done here for you.

You're welcome.
