This is my senior, Ellie. Ellie has been a studio dancer since age 4. She is a 3 year Varsity member of the North Dance Team and 3 year member of Show Choir. Senior year she was a captain for both. She was a member of Orchestra, choir and Chamber choir. A Student Ambassador and member of National Honor Society. Ellie was involved in FCA, JOII club and Cultural Diversity clubs. Ellie had decided to join tennis her senior year for something new, but didn’t get the chance due to Covid-19. Her music trip to NYC got canceled. The school only does this trip every 4 years and it fell her senior year. They were going to get to see Dear Evan Hanson and West Side Story on Broadway. See the 9/11 Memorial which is significant to all of the class of 2020 kids. Prom was canceled. Graduation postponed for now. Ellie has kept a 4.0 with all of her activities and her job at Dunn Bros coffee. Ellie is one of 4 Valedictorians for our graduating class of 2020. She plans to go to St Ambrose University in the fall for a Biology/Biochemistry degree on a pre-med track. Ellie loves time outdoors and time spent with friends and family, and helping others. Her sense of humor and her laugh can always lift you up. This kid truly cares about people and has the absolute best heart. She left school for Spring Break not saying goodbye to all of her friends and teachers not knowing this was the end of her high school career. So disheartening for the all of the class of 2020. We just wanted to share our girl and how proud we are not only of her accomplishments but of the truly wonderful person she is.
