I will never forget summer 2015. My husband and I learned that we were expecting our first child this past spring, filling the summer with excitement and anxiety.
We are trying to do as much as we can! I have no idea what life will be like next year with a baby in the Texas heat… or life in general.
I might have gone a little crazy. I bought several parenting and pregnancy books, downloaded apps, and I talk to other moms every chance I get asking questions and listening to their stories. I’m trying to learn as much as I can!
I’ve been obsessed with nutrition and prenatal exercises. I want to give this little one and my body a strong foundation for the rest of the pregnancy.
Of course I’ve been having fun too, fun creating pregnancy announcements, looking at maternity fashion and nursery decor. My husband has even set up a toy wish-list online.
I’m trying to create a balance of fun and preparation. I’ve filled the summer with family, friends & travel. Our last trip this summer is Hawaii and by the looks of the latest sonogram, I think the baby is excited too!
I’m calling this summer my best yet, but I know the best is yet to come!
