Before I had our son, I was very busy working full time in the Human Resources field and then my son was born! Once he was born, my husband and I were struggling to find a quality school for our infant son so I could go back to work (b/c we were also supporting 2 young children from his previous marriage). We were looking for somewhere we would feel comfortable leaving him everyday and know that he was well cared for and in a safe learning environment. After an exhausting search we couldn’t find anywhere that met our standards so we began looking into opening our own school and came across The Goddard School franchise. We opened our first franchise in 2005 and our 2nd in 2014!

I now have the best of both worlds, where I can work and contribute financially for our family, but still have a lot of flexibility with my schedule to be there for my son when he needs me! 13 years ago I would have never imagined myself as a business owner, yet alone the owner of 2 preschools! I now run 2 very successful schools and still get to spend time at home with my son! I would have NEVER explored this venture if it weren't for the birth of our son! He completely changed our lives and we could not be happier! Having a baby was one of the best decisions I ever made, after marrying my husband! :)
