Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

My mom village is composed of moms like me

I help make it what it is

It will be welcoming and neighborly, if I am a good neighbor

It will be receptive and helpful, if I am a giver, not a taker

The mom village will be a place of warmth, humility, and true friendship

only if I remain a humble good friend, and turn away from bitterness and jealousy

It will not judge, belittle, condescend, or favor

if I remain objective, open minded, tolerant, and unprejudiced

If I encourage, inspire, and cheer for its members

then when I need it most, I will be the recipient of the same

The mom village will be a cooperative effort to raise good humans

if I remember it’s only about raising good humans, not competing.

It will be a place of compassion, commiseration, and grace

if I am tender, empathetic, and merciful towards its members

And with my help, dedication, and charity,

it will flourish with humanity, and cultivate the next generation of thriving villagers

if I remember those future villagers are today’s children.

My mom village it composed of women like me

Together, we make it amazing.
