One of the most amazing aspects of planning ahead during the holiday season is your ability to remain more in control of the type of holiday you will have. Planning a Holiday staycation takes the pressure off of creating something so extravagant and stressful at home. It also allows you to get a break from the everyday routine. There are five major steps to planning a great Holiday staycation.
Location: Pick a place that will accommodate most of your family members. We recently stayed at the Westin Galleria Dallas for our staycation. It was the perfect place because it allowed us to have access to one of Dallas’ main attractions: The Galleria Mall. The entire space was fully decorated for Christmas, which made it an amazing place for taking pictures. Their in-house dining called The Second-Floor Restaurant served delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed their dessert options as well.
Package: Choosing the right package can create a perfect experience for everyone. Make sure to include something for the kids. The American Package was perfect for our daughters. Beds for their dolls, along with a robe and slippers was also included in the package. In the evening, fresh bite sized cupcakes were delivered along with ice cold milk. Plan a Delicious Breakfast: Book a breakfast which will be great for the entire family. It seals the trip and allows you to enjoy the amenities for nearby restaurants. The following morning, we enjoyed breakfast at American Girl Place. The beauty of reservations is that they can be made well in advance of your weekend. With the proper planning, you can achieve almost any of your staycation objectives.
Photos: Planning a getaway helps you enjoy the festivities of the holiday season, including the decorations, while using them as a backdrop for photos. It also takes away the pressure of decorating your home too much. You can enjoy the decorations that are displayed in the shopping areas and other attractions.Enjoy: Soak in all the experience during the weekend. Sleep in and enjoy the space and the time away from home. Sometimes serving as the planner can be daunting. Kick up your feet and order room service, or sneak away and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Most hotels have in service dining. A staycation is great because when it is time to go home, you are not far away.
