If you're a woman over the age of 18, odds are you've probably had to plan a baby shower at some point in your life. Or you will. It's just part of our culture. (at least in the US.)
So you know that it's very stressful.
From choosing a theme, to inviting guests, to picking out baby shower games your friends will actually want to play. There's a lot to think about.
Even down to the details like choosing prizes for your baby shower games can be stressful.
And oh no, what if there's a tie? Do you need tie breakers for your baby shower games?
Keeping all of this stuff organized is tough especially when you have lots of other things occupying your brain like work, your own kids, or just trying to remember where you have to be today.
But you do it all for your friend, your sister, your cousin, or your daughter. Whoever the new mom may be, she's definitely a special person in your life. So you're taking on all this stress out of love.
Unless you're throwing your own baby shower. Then you're doing it all for your baby! The MOST special person in your life.
There are a few things you can do to minimize the stress. Maybe think about throwing an unwrapped or display baby shower.
Or even just ask for gift cards only at your baby shower.
Don't go crazy with a theme. Not everything needs to be mermaids or Noah's ark. Just a simple color scheme works fine.
Yes, you're throwing a party with lots of tradition surrounding it. But that doesn't mean it needs to be completely traditional. Go with the flow and do your own thing if that means less stress in your life.
The mom-to-be will be thankful no matter what your snacks are or whether you had matching napkins or not.
You've got this.
