Raising kids isn't for the weak,

but it'll sure make you feel weak.

Raising kids isn't for the self-absorbed,

but when all you desire is a moment alone, it'll sure make you feel self-absorbed (and guilty).

Raising kids isn't for the anxiety-prone,

and if you weren't before children, you are now.

Raising kids isn't for those who are easily overwhelmed or frustrate quickly, and if you weren’t terrific at breathing, pausing and staying calm before, it's only going to get

THAT.

MUCH.

HARDER.

Like I said, raising kids isn't for the weak,

and thank God you're not.

Because hear this —

ANY PARENT WHO FIGHTS AGAINST THEIR INSECURITIES AND INADEQUACIES TO BE BETTER FOR THEIR CHILDREN IS STRONG AF.

And, if you didn't think you were before, you can be sure you are now.

Sometimes I need that reminder, and it's here for you today in case you do too.
