Today was not a great day. No sleep, a broken car, a kid who can't hear, 3 loads of laundry waiting to be folded, feeling like I caught the crud, followed by homework, housework, "momwork", and a husband who can't come home until late. But as I finished up my final leg of "momwork", put the kids lunches in their bags, and wiped down the counters, I couldn't help but smile as I looked down at my pumpkin bread (yes, I managed to throw some baking into todays mix) No, today was not a great day. But I rocked my bad day and even made bread. And that makes me smile.

Mom life is hard. Mom life is exhausting. But life is short. Bake the bread. Bake the bread and smile. Because before you know it, the kids won't need you to "mom" so hard and take care of them and you will WISH you could have these days of packing lunches and doing homework and baking goodies BACK!
