Shout out to all the dadvocates out there.
The ones that know the pain of another failed medication as well as the pain from sleeping on a hospital futon.
The ones that can crush a pill as easily as easily as they can crush a dad joke.
The ones that have as many (or more) videos stored on their phone of their child seizing as they do of them laughing.
The ones that could drive to the hospital with their eyes closed.
That have the doctor’s office on speed dial.
That learned the therapy exercises.
That know the pharmacist’s name.
That can read a pulse ox, set a feeding pump, open an oxygen tank or get EEG goo out of hair.
Shoutout to the dads that live for inchstones not milestones.
Whether you are the primary caregiver or supporting a partner who is, you are an important part of a powerful team. You are valued, appreciated and loved.
Thank you for being you and being the best dadvocates around. Wishing you a gentle Father's Day.
