Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

A Keurig brewing coffee and a smoke detector battery beeping every ten seconds.
The heaviness of crutches on the wood floor (and on my heart, too).
Miley Cyrus on the radio.
“Mooom, I need socks.”
“Hurry up!”
Laughter. Kids studying for a Spanish test and tiktoks playing on an iPad .

Sounds of my Friday morning.

Life wants us to rush from 8 am straight through to 8 p.m. God wants us to slow the eff down.

Inhale the sounds and beauty and love.

Exhale the noise and pressure and all of the fear.

Feel the moments and the feelings. Hear the sounds. Taste the food. Say thank you out loud. Don’t give up on people you love and hug the ones you are able to.

Be grateful in every moment and don’t freaking rush. Be late— but be grateful. Life is so short, live large, friends. Every single day.
