I'm one of those girls --
the kind that'll tell you the unabashed truth;
yours and mine.
The kind that will
listen and empathize,
observe and support, sans judgment,
help and never mock,
give more than I take,
laugh with you, so we both don't cry.
The kind that will
share my opinions, but never push them upon you,
give you my ear, but never expect you to speak only the words I want to hear,
sit with you in the hard,
pick you up when you've fallen.
The kind that
doesn't demand perfection,
and won't ever let you sit too long with the disappointment of rejection.
The kind of girl you never owe an apology or explanation.
The kind of girl whose friendship costs you nothing, but is worth so much.
I'm one of those girls.
There are a lot of us around.
We're the kind of girls that force you to believe in yourself, and we won't let up until you do.
Here's a reminder to make sure that
your village, circle, or tribe -- whatever you wanna call it --
has in it at least one (if not more) of this kind of girl.
Here's a reminder to make sure that YOU are this kind of girl.
This crazy world is pleading for more women supporting the hell out of other women.
Let's rock it's fudging' socks off with a sisterhood of gals endlessly devoted to helping one another
out,
up,
and to succeed.
