Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

If you are still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for someone special this just might be the thing for you.

Last year, we were trying to find a gift that would be perfect for my children’s grandparents and we came up with this “Memory Basket.”

It’s exactly what it sounds like. I sat down with my children and we spent a couple of hours talking about all the fun things they had done in the past year with their grandparents. We looked back through pictures to help the younger ones remember trips or special moments. And then we began writing the memories. We used simple card stock and pretty markers. Some kids drew pictures of memories, some wrote funny stories about things they had shared together and some dictated memories to me to write down for them. No matter how the memory was recorded the impact was the same.

My parents LOVED the gift and my children loved walking back through the memories. We included instructions to read a memory once or twice a week or whenever they began to miss us.

It was a gift that didn’t cost a lot of money but definitely yielded a great return.

What better gift can we give than a reminder of the time we have shared together.

Make your own Memory Basket and share it with someone you love.
