The Magic of Christmas

It doesn't end when the littles grow up. Our kids carry the glitter and tinsel and traditions hidden in their pockets. The cookies for Santa may be long gone, gobbled up and dissolved with other childish recollections: fairies coming to collect teeth and bunnies laying eggs filled with treats. But the memories and magic remain. An ember still hot. A carol stuck in the back of the brain. A ball of lights tangled in their veins.

Our teens remember. The child of their youth remains quietly, secretly exuberant. And sometimes, though rarely, a little sneaks out. Be ready to catch it and put a little in your own pocket to save for later. 😉
