Bragging isn’t my thing. I am not the kind of mom who shows the whole world how perfect my family is because it’s not. How can I have a perfect family when I’m not? Now that doesn’t mean that I am not proud of my kids because I am.
I just keep it simple, very simple as a matter of fact. I am that kind of mom who doesn’t post photos on social media. Why should I? The photos of my kids are for my consumption and not for the public. Am I the only mom who does this? I don’t know. Should I brag about this? I don’t know.
There’s only one thing I think I can brag about as a mom. I keep it real. No super hero stories for my son and princess dreams for my daughters.
As a matter of fact, I’m the only mom in our group who thinks coding is good for kids. I actually compel them to do 30 minutes of coding on Tynker. I don’t know much about coding but with the advancement in technology, I understand that coding should be an added skill for kids nowadays.
Raising kids nowadays is not easy at all. As parents, we are up against a lot to keep our kids grounded and at the same time, skilled for their future. I am not sure if I am doing the right thing but I do know that classroom education is simply not enough these days.
Well, that’s just my thought and if there’s one thing I think I can brag about; that’s it.
