You can find a school supply list through the Target app, at many retail stores, and through most of the school websites.

This year I plan to buy the necessary school supplies off the list, but having the right school supplies will only be half of what my children need.

We cannot forget about the intangible things.

We cannot forget about the things that cannot be bought in a store, but our kids desperately need:

An open mind
A listening ear
An honest, but respectful mouth
Well rested eyes
Empathy
A positive attitude
Enthusiasm
Creativity
Independence
Good study skills
Integrity
Self-Confidence
A sense of humor
A good pencil grip
Shoes with good soles
Resilience
Resourcefulness
A loving heart

So I will buy the supplies needed for my children, but I won’t forget to help them with all the other things that make a strong student - and even more importantly an amazing human being. 💗
