My husband and I don't get much alone time.
Between work, raising our daughter, and pandemic life,
there is little time for just the two of us.
I recall the days before becoming parents.
We'd spend tons of time together, stay out late, and take trips. Now we're exhausted by 9pm, and exotic getaways are a thing of the past.
We've learned to appreciate the simple moments.
Smiling at each other across the dinner table.
A quick kiss in-between my husband's work meetings.
Holding hands while we are grocery shopping.
Simple moments.
Little notes I leave for him to discover in the morning.
A hug when he finishes working.
Snuggling on the couch after our daughter falls asleep.
Simple moments.
Little things
that aren't so little,
because there is a whole lot of love.
Every simple moment speaks volumes,
and I'm grateful for those moments every day.
