Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

There's this thing mothers say when you ask them how they are.

"Good. You?" is a typical response.

But what they mean by "good" is

happy
tired
grateful
anxious
scared
hopeful
focused
disheveled
whole
lost
found
confused
bored
busy
fulfilled
and
vulnerable.

Did you get all that from their "Good. You?"

If you didn't, you should.

If you didn't know, now you know.

Mothers are always good because we've got to be; we've got tiny little impressionable, empathetic hearts to tend to.

But let's help mothers feel GREAT.

Do you know how you can do that?

The next time you ask one how they are doing and they tell you they are good, inform them that you think they're great and be sure to tell them alllllllll the reasons why.

When you champion a mama, you champion her child, and I can't think of a better 2-for-1 than that.
