They grow so fast, mama.

You’ll blink and those newborn onesies turn into princess dresses or superhero capes.

You’ll blink and the newborn who wanted to be fed and snuggled around-the-clock will demand they can get dressed without your help and no longer need you to sing a bedtime song.

You’ll turn around and those baby toys will turn into book collections, video games, and their unique personality will follow them in everything they do.

You’ll look up and suddenly your tiny little baby will be asking to ride with a friend to soccer practice or to attend a friend’s birthday party. Soon they’ll be dating and asking for a car or more modern cell phone.

You’ll soon realize that those long years and sleepless nights turn into checking your phone constantly because they are out with friends or away at college and your heart yearns to hold them in your arms again.

That little baby that you played peek-a-boo with,

That tiny little soul that stole your heart and turned your world upside down,

That beautiful little person that you get to see grow up,

Is growing. Changing. Becoming more independent. Dreaming big dreams.

So, today — soak in those cuddles.
Enjoy the bath time giggles.
Join in the dance party.

Take mental snapshots of those gargantuan toothless grins. We are going to need to store it away for the years and changes to come.

They grow so fast, mama. Don’t forget — you’re growing too. 🤍
