Every year 500,000 Autistic children transition to adulthood, and yet the health care community is still lagging when it comes to providing education and understanding among staff.

This scenario has become all too common and is leaving Autistic Adults and their families desperate to find a provider the just “gets it!”

If my feelings about this issue weren’t so strong, I probably wouldn’t have had the guts to post this, but...enough is enough.
I filmed this on our way home from the hospital after being admitted in hopes of getting a colonoscopy. (It’s been three months of waiting and in those three months he has lost 30lbs and still no answers)

I just hope that sharing this story will help start the ball rolling towards change and understanding
