I'm a flippin' mess.
And, when I say "I'm," I am referring to the mess that is
my car,
my closet,
my kitchen drawers,
the playroom,
the bathroom,
my closet,
my outward appearance,
my social awkwardness,
my forgetfulness
and my entire general being.
But this is one mess I'm not going to clean up.
At least not in an embarrassed, rushed, must-remedy-this-immediately fashion
I don't want to clean it up and do you know why?
'Cause a woman living unabashedly and trying the best she can -- it's the most imperfectly beautiful, flawlessly flawed mess that you'll ever see.
Us, hot mess mamas, we get so much wrong on the daily, but do you know what it is that we are getting right?
Shamelessly owning crap out of who we are, while putting in daily effort to improve upon who that is.
I'm a flippin' mess, and while one day I may be an improved mess, I'll never not be one and thank goodness for that because life is messy.
And, if life is messy, and so am I, then I must be life and doing it right.
At least I hope so.
At least that's my excuse.
