It starts with chasing a boy.
Then you’re chasing a marriage.
Next you’re chasing two pink lines.
And soon thereafter you’re chasing the sound of tiny footsteps.
And then one day, those footsteps aren't so tiny-sounding anymore.
So don't chase the clock.
Don't chase bedtime either.
Chase a deeper connection.
Chase understanding and grace.
Chase recognition of and appreciation for their whole person self.
And chase like hell for real and meaningful quality time with them.
Because, time, it’s chasing us.
