We always end our texts or phone calls with a 'LOVU'. Now don't get me wrong it doesn't always come out the same. Sometimes it comes with an '!' or a heart emoji or the 'LOVU' becomes 'Love You tons' or when on the phone and going through a difficult period it may be a very quick 'LOVU' but it is our foundation for keeping our love alive with 5 children. To not say this is 'taboo' in our relationship.

The greatest thing is that now the kids are doing the same! We hear them communicate this to us, their siblings and grandparents. In fact a few times they have even mistakenly said this to their friends and after they hang up they say 'oops' and we all chuckle! It is becoming their language too and something we hope someday they will carry into their relationships that will help them keep their love alive through all of life's ups and down just as it has for us.
