You’re going to cry often.

And laugh just as much.

You’re going to get lost in their smiles.

Their needs,

Their coo’s.

It will be intense.

It will be sweet.

Some things will come easily.

Others will not.

It will define you.

But not be all that you are.

You’ll have moments you’ll want to remember.

And moments you’ll want to forget.

The days will be long.

The nights will be longer.

But somehow, the years will seem short.

You’ll fall out of love.

Then slowly,

Through your child’s eyes —

Fall back in.

Even harder than before.

And right when you think it can’t get any better.
