Becoming a mother is among the most empowering and joyous things that can happen to any woman. There is no doubt; your post-pregnancy body shape can make you feel a little self-conscious about putting on particular clothes. Most mothers plan cosmetic procedures, but along the way, they change their minds, or someone talks them out of it.

Yes, you should have healthy self-esteem and feel confident about your body after childbirth. However, if you intend to improve your appearance, you may want to consider plastic surgery. Sometimes, no amount of exercising or dieting is enough to make your post-pregnancy body spring back into the shape you once had. For recent mothers who wish to live with unrecognizable changes to their breasts, thighs, and bellies, here are the top plastic surgeries they may consider.

Brest augmentation

If your breasts are saggy or have lost their volume, breast augmentation may be the right option. The procedure takes about one to two hours, and you can walk away with ether silicon-filled or saline-filled implants. This is a permanent procedure, but in some cases, you may need to replace the breast implants after several years.

While the procedure takes a short time, recovery takes a little bit longer. Most moms who have had breast augmentation say that it’s difficult for them to lift anything over ten pounds or even lifting their hands higher than 45 degrees within the first two weeks. However, the results are worth it especially after recovery (approximately two weeks).

Breast Lift

If you aren’t comfortable with the breast augmentation procedure, then a breast lift is an excellent choice. The procedure allows you to recapture that coveted youthful appearance. Having perky breasts is no longer a thing of the past as the procedure provides an alternative method of inflating sagging breasts.

Basically, the procedure involves removing the excess skin, lifting the breast tissue, and moving or reducing the size of the nipples or areolae. The side effects of breast lift procedure include temporary swelling, bruising, discomfort, and a few scars which will fade away with time. The procedure takes an hour and a half to more than three hours. However, the results are long-lasting. It takes a short time (two weeks) to heal.

Tummy tuck

This procedure is also known as abdominoplasty. It’s a major surgical procedure that takes two to five hours. The surgeon will eliminate the excess skin on your tummy, reposition the navel when necessary, and offer your weak abdominal muscles a new look by tightening your abdominal wall. Well, a scar is inevitable, but you will be back to mommy duty or work within one to three weeks. However, this duration may be longer depending on an individual’s physical condition.

Liposuction

A friendly term for liposuction is body contouring. Having your belly fat sucked out isn’t any prettier than it sounds but the results are wonderful. The procedure is effective in eliminating stubborn body fat that doesn’t react to exercise and dieting.
