I don't know about you, but the loudest and most prevalent voices in my newsfeed belong to either angels or asses. And, despite the fact that my college sophomore daughter told me this morning in a fit of disgust that this crisis doesn't impact me in the least (compared to her campus displacement and online learning burden), I do indeed feel deeply distressed by what I am witnessing in the world.

At a moment when my instinct should be to advocate and inform and perhaps even defend, I am opting instead to share this simple prayer. We could all use a bit of stillness and thoughtfulness right now, and I hope that my words serve as a gentle reminder that united, we stand, and divided, we fall.
