What do you want to be when you grow up Nate; the answer from Nate has always been a professional baseball player. As a mom I always told him that education and a plan B was important, becoming a professional baseball player was a difficult path. As he entered his senior year with a scholarship to University of Miami, the starting pitcher for his high school baseball team, and MLB scouts looking at him we saw this dream possibly become a reality. Now... Nate is still going to one of the best universities in the country, but some how all the senior excitement, the MLB scouting opportunities, and another opportunity to try for a State Championship with teammates he has played with for a decade are gone up in smoke. As you can see from the photo above Nate is a fierce competitor and pushes himself to be the best. This isn't just for Nate this is for all the athletes out there that have worked hard academically and physically to reach this point to have everything taken away, the camaraderie of teammates, playing under the lights to a crowd full of friends, family, and the local town, the senior celebration night, and of course just being the SENIORS. My hearts breaks, we are healthy and safe Thank Goodness, but some how all these years we have waited for this and it gone.
