Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

To all my moms! The things you love to do but have decided you are too….old, too tired or it's not a mom to do - do them. Our kids need to see us doing the things that we love in life.

Every year I take the jump into the Pungo Creek and put on the slalom ski. The kids always ask me how old I was when I started skiing, was it on the same boat we are using now and the same skies. As the boat takes off that first time each year I worry this might be the year I can’t get up and have to ask for the second ski to be sent to me and one day that ski will come to me in the Pungo and I will have slalomed for my last time, but until that day I want Reese and Carter to see me living life, see my fall a few times but keep trying and to see the joy it brings to me to share something like water skiing with them.

We were lucky enough to head to Pungo Creek for 5 weeks this summer, however I know for many families vacations have been cancelled. My challenge to all of us moms is when we can - put on the bathing suit, sit in the sand, build the sand castle, get on the skies. You may just be making memories your kids will always remember.
