I've been writing a book.
Number four.
I've not been writing the book I'm writing, but I'm writing it nonetheless, if that makes any sense.
I've been writing a book, but I haven't actually completed the book OR made much progress, but if you ask me, I'll tell you
"I'm writing a book."
But isn't that the kind of shit we all do -- with everything, basically?
We have a plan for what we're going to do,
we want to do it,
we tell people we're doing it because the ideal us IS doing it,
but
we're
not
doing it.
Like losing weight.
Eating healthier.
Exercising more.
Drinking less.
Spending more time with family.
Socializing more.
Prioiritzing self-care.
Prioritizing other-care.
Tending to our passions.
Tending to our pets.
Working on having fewer pet peeves.
Working less.
Working on relationships more.
Working SMARTER, NOT JUST HARDER
when it comes to

we
do.
But it's fudgin' hard.
It's hard to be the best version of yourself.
And it's even more hella' challenging for those who are short on
time,
money,
space,
inspiration,
or who are
short-tempered
or those with no system/plan in place other than
GET UP AND DO.
GET UP AND BE.
AND THEN TOMORROW,
DO IT AGAIN.
Listen -
We're all getting it right, EVEN WHEN we're getting it a little wrong.
Well, most of us, at least.
Not the a-holes of the world or the bullies,
but if you are a
hardworking and hard-loving human
who is giving every day and the people in yours all that you've got to give,
you're pretty flippin' stellar whether you want to believe that about yourself or not.
So tell me you're doing nothing,
even though you're doing so many somethings,
and I'll tell you you're doing everything
even when you're doing "nothing."
Tell me you're doing something while telling me you're not doing something.
I.
THINK.
I.
JUST.
DID.
I should have put this ish in the book instead of on Facebook,
but here I am,
just ad hoc-ing the message and its delivery.
And if you've managed to make sense of what I've said
and even half enjoyed the tangent,
I wanna say,
"Hey there"
and
"I am your people."
