We’re going to remember the clean floors because we always had time. .
We’re going to remember the books we read and the stories we told. .
We’re going to remember who we missed the most, knowing their value to us. .
We’re going to remember gaining perspective. .
We’re going to remember our lives changing indefinitely. .
We’re going to remember thinking this was just a precaution. .
We’re going to remember how it became very real, very fast. .
We’re going to remember being in disbelief. .
We’re going to remember feeling lonely. .
We’re going to remember wanting to help in any way we could. .
We’re going to remember the binge watching. .
We’re going to remember the quiet, the aching silence. .
We’re going to remember not wanting to listen to the news anymore- not being able to handle anymore negativity. .
We’re going to remember how it became normal to see people wearing masks and gloves; what a frightening time. .
We’re going to remember how the days were long with worry and the nights were even longer. .
We’re going to remember teaching our children from home. .
We’re going to remember the struggle. .
We’re going to remember the peace. .
We’re going to remember how we were given the gift of time and how we used it. .
We will remember it all, our resilience and perseverance. .
So how will you remember? Will you make it count?
