When the Baby Goes Down, No One Talk to Mama
November 8, 2017
I'm a stay at home mom. I've had someone in my face (literally IN my face) for the past 12 hours. I have nothing left for you.
When I'm with my daughter, I am ON. I am 100% with her and it drains every ounce of energy from my soul. I mom so hard. But when she goes to bed...I lay down so hard. I don't want to say any words. I've used them all up (on repeat).
Oh you're having people over tonight? I don't want to come. I don't want to talk to anyone and I don't want to see anyone unless your name is Bravo! or Cabernet Sauvignon. I've been talking, singing, jumping, laughing, carrying, wiping and chasing all damn day. I'm OFF. I'm in a mommy time-out and this applies to everyone. I'm not looking for company. After a full day with a toddler, I'm just looking for a break. No offense. It honestly isn't you. It's 100% me. My evenings are sacred.
No one talk to mama.
