If you have to spend a great deal of your workday in an office, it is highly recommended to have the best possible decorated space that you can. If you invest in your space, you will make the space a more pleasant place to work, which will inspire a great deal of productivity. One great way to liven up a space without spending a great deal of capital is to invest in plants. Not only will this make your office more pleasing to the eye, but it will also improve the air quality within your office. Here are the five low – maintenance plants for your office environment:

  • Pothos: Pothos, also known as Epipremnum aureum, is a vine plant that will grow attractive leaves that drape over the pot quite quickly. This plant is the ideal choice when considering a plant that will add to the appearance of cubicles. Additionally, this plant is very low maintenance because if the leaves get too long, you can trim them and then put them in additional pots to grow more plants with minimal watering. Pothos is the ideal plant that keeps producing for your office with very little effort.
  • Peace Lily: The Peace Lily or Spathiphyllum is a very common plant to see in both offices and shopping malls. The reason for this is that the Peace Lily is a plant that can grow with very little light and minimal watering. Additionally, the Peace Lily is very attractive to put with many different styles of interior design because of the gorgeous white flowers that it produces, which many other plants do not that require the same level of maintenance.
  • Snake Plant: The Snake Plant or Sanseveria trifasciata, is a very common choice when seeing inner-office plants. The reason for this is that the Snake Plant is able to survive in almost any environment, which makes it a great choice for offices with dim lighting and staff members that do not have time for extensive watering. Another reason that the Snake Plant is a very popular choice is that it is an expert at absorbing toxins from the air.
  • Jade: Jade (Crassula ovata) is one of the most popular indoor plants as it is very durable because it requires far less light than other succulent plants. What is remarkable about jade is that any time when a leaf breaks off the plant, it can be replanted in a new pot and will grow an additional plant. The reason for this is that the green leaves that Jade plants possess make them require very little maintenance in the way of watering and light, which makes them a great contribution to any office.
  • Cacti: Cacti is one of the most durable plants in existence because it is able to survive on its own in the desert. Thus, for office environments that have interior décor that matches a desert motif, Cacti is a great choice because it can be watered very little and still survive. Cacti come is a wide variety of styles and sizes, which make them a plant that can be placed on top of your desk or even in a tiny corner in your cubicle.

Investing in plants in your office is a great way to enhance your space and make it healthier at the same time.
