I have two sons.

Some would say we have one son, because you can only see one of our boys.
But you see, I am a mother to two boys.

Parenting a child who is here and one who is not here is a balancing act.
A balance of joy and grief.
A balance of being present for the milestones we get to witness and making space for the milestones we won't.
A balance of honoring our son's life who isn't here and celebrating our son's life who is.

Balancing the conflicting emotions is challenging. Yet, there is one constant common denominator in all of the emotions - the immeasurable love for both boys.

There are parents all around us, we just may not see all of their children.
