Maybe she hasn’t called you back because she’s battling depression, not because she’s phasing you out.
Maybe she hasn’t responded to your text
because she’s anxious about something that happened today, not because she’s mad at you.
Maybe she didn’t wave at you in line at the gas station because she was deep in thought,
not because she was ignoring you.
Maybe it’s all she can do right now to get through each day, trying to meet her own basic needs and those of the people that rely on her.
Maybe she needs your understanding
now more than ever.
Maybe it’s too soon to give up on her.
Maybe it’s ok to keep reaching out.
