This is the face of a Mami who told her husband that she was spending the night at a hotel by HERSELF. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the face of a Mami that went through hell and back the week before Christmas as her 8 week old daughter was admitted to hospital with RSV and pneumonia. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the face of a Mami who has pink eye, has had a sinus infection for over a month, probably had walking pneumonia, had just finished her second dose of antibiotics, (with no relief except for the chest congestion clearing up) had just spent two weeks cooped up inside for Christmas break with her baby and 5 year old because she was so sick and had zero energy to do anything but the bare minimum. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the face of a Mami whose 5 year old screamed how much he hated her because she was paying more attention to his baby sister than to him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is the face of a Mami, who checked into the hotel at 4pm, had a quiet dinner, finished the book she had started reading a month before, took a long hot shower and poured herself a tequila on the rocks before bed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I slept like crap that night, but the few hours I had to just BE, were the most glorious hours I have had in months. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This was a bit of a drastic move. Not one we could afford at the moment, either. BUT, had I not taken this step, I would not be in a slightly better frame of mind. I say slightly because who am I kidding? I FORGOT how rough it is to have a newborn and I COMPLETELY underestimated how insane life becomes with two kids. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Moral of this story? I plan on doing this EVERY month. 😉
