This pandemic is hardest on working parents.
And I would know… 'cause I'm not one.
And the masking up,
the social distancing,
the spontaneous quarantines,
the scrambling to get a rapid covid test,
is hard as hell on this stay-at-home mama that I can only imagine (and even then probably not fully appreciate the gravity of) the stress experienced by those who work outside of the home and the incredibly complicated positions they are put in each and every day when it comes to tending to their
work responsibilities,
their living ones
and being a conscientious member of a community who is maneuvering their way,
kids in tow,
through a lingering and dividing pandemic.
What a run-on that was, huh?
Well, that's how I imagine life must feel for those working AND raising kids during this coronavirus outbreak.
I tip my hat to you, working parents.
To all parents, of course,
but working parents, you're like magical fudgin' unicorns, and since I'm positive you probably don't hear it enough, I'm here to tell you…
You’re doing an amazing job.
The world is impressed by you.
And not just that, but it thanks you for your efforts -- both inside and outside of your home.
It's you all who are keeping the world spinning, and though I'm sure by this point, you're feeling pretty dizzy, I hope knowing that your deeds are acknowledged and incredibly valued helps you find and maintain your balance.
