My name is Maryam Doskocil, I am 29 years old. I was born in Alexandria, Egypt. I came to the United States when I was nine years old. I spoke very little English and I had to work tremendously hard to learn the English language and American culture.
Twenty years later, I have earned my Master’s degree in elementary education from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. I love working with children and watching their little faces light up when they finally understand a concept.
I have two girls, Marina 2 ½ and Anna 5 month old! My husband’s name is Benjamin, he works as a Navy JAG. We currently live in Honolulu, HI. My hobbies are hanging out with my family, teaching and COOKING. I love inventing healthy recipes for me and my family. If it doesn’t pass the kid and husband test it will not make the menu.
